Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way, but only pages of the same site can read them. This policy lists what toolzami.com stores in your browser and how you can control it. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
What Toolzami stores
Toolzami sets no cookies of its own. It keeps the following items in your browser's storage and never sends them to our servers:
| Name | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|
toolzami:Local storage | Your theme, Light or Dark. Written when you choose one of them; choosing System deletes it. | Until you change it or clear the site's data |
toolzami:Local storage | The options you chose in a tool, such as the indentation. Written when you change an option. | Until you clear the site's data |
react-Session storage | Where you were on the pages you opened in this tab, so going back returns you to the same place. | Until you close the tab |
These items only remember choices you made and where you were on a page. They do not identify you, and they are not used for analytics or advertising.
Consent cookies
Google's consent management platform stores your answer to the consent message in cookies on toolzami.com. They let every page respect your choices, so the message does not appear again. Their names and lifetimes are listed here once the platform is set up.
Analytics cookies
Only after you consent, Google Analytics sets these cookies on toolzami.com:
| Name | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Tells visitors apart | 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Keeps the state of a visit | 2 years |
Advertising cookies
Google AdSense and its partners set cookies on toolzami.com and on Google's own domains. They use them to show ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure results and to prevent fraud, and, with your consent where it is required, to personalize ads. Google sets their names and lifetimes; How Google uses cookies (opens in a new tab) describes them.
How to manage them
- Your browser's settings show and delete what a site has stored, usually under "Cookies and site data". Your theme and tool options then return to their defaults.
- Choosing System in the theme menu deletes the stored theme.
- Closing the tab deletes the scroll positions.
- Where your consent was asked, "Privacy and cookie settings" at the bottom of every page changes or withdraws it at any time.
- My Ad Center (opens in a new tab) turns personalized Google ads on or off for your Google account.
Changes to this policy
The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this policy last changed. When the site starts to store something new in your browser, this page lists it first.
