Open Source Licenses

Last updated

Toolzami's tools are built with open source software. This page names the software, fonts and data that our pages send to your browser, and the licenses they come under. The full text of each license, with its copyright notice, is in the third-party notices file.

Every build of the site writes that file from the files the build contains. A build stops if a package it would ship has a license we do not accept or comes without its license text, so the file always matches the version of the site you are using.

Software

These packages run in your browser. The notices file also lists the smaller packages they depend on.

The interface components in our source code start from shadcn/ui (opens in a new tab) (MIT), copied into the project and changed where we needed to.

Fonts

Text is set in Geist and Geist Mono by the Geist Project Authors, packaged by Fontsource and licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (opens in a new tab). The font files are served from toolzami.com, unchanged.

Data

Some tools ship data from other projects:

Build tools

The tools that build the site run on our machines, and none of their code reaches your browser. One of them uses data that asks for credit: browser support data from caniuse-lite (opens in a new tab) by Ben Briggs, built from the Can I use (opens in a new tab) database and licensed under CC BY 4.0 (opens in a new tab).
